Chicken 65 , as the name identifies a popular Southern Indian chicken dish. Go to any pub in South India and you will find mostly all tables ordering this chicken recipe. Even as a household starter it is quite popular. There is a story behind Chicken 65 legacy that an English traveller was visiting Kerala in 1965 and requested chef to cook a chicken recipe as per his specifications. The bar staffs started promoting this chicken recipe to other guests and soon it was so popular that the recipe travelled thru many restaurants and now it is one chicken starter dish popular all over India

1 Kg Boneless skinless chicken thighs
1 tsp Garam masala, cloves, cinnamon, cardamom
1-1/2 tsp Garlic paste
1 -1/2 tsp Ginger paste
2 tsp Red chilies powder
2 tsp All-purpose flour
1 Egg
4 Drops food coloring, red
2 Cups yoghurt
12 Green chilies
2 tsp Corn flour
3 tsp Lime juice
Vegetable oil for frying
Salt to taste
Curry leaves

Take a bowl and mix corn flour, all purpose flour, ginger garlic paste, chilli powder, egg, all spice and salt to thick batter.
Add water if essential.
Add chicken pieces to the batter and marinate for about one hour.
Deep fry the marinated chicken pieces till they turn golden.
Take a sauce pan and heat 4 tsp oil.
Add fried chicken pieces, slit chilies, yogurt, red color (optional), curry leaves and salt if desired.
Toss for about 4 to 5 minutes and remove it from the heat.
Now add lime juice, mix well and garnish and serve hot.
