Father to a lovely daughter, chef and traveler. Cooking is my passion and it has taken me places. Different cuisines and cultures have deeply inspired the stories I tell and the food I cook. This diary is a way of sharing those experiences about the food and travel journeys that touched my heart.

From a young age I dreamt of becoming a chef so that I could travel the world, meet new people and create memorable meal experiences. I cooked my first dish at the age of 10 as I would help my mother prepare our meals. My passion lies in cooking dishes that are true to themselves and highlight the fundamentals and freshness.

I am originally trained in various cuisines and  started to walk the culinary industry since the age of 19. After my Bachelor in Hotel Management from Institute of Hotel Management, Catering Technology and Applied Nutrition, Kolkata, while I was gaining experience working in various kitchens, I completed different hospitality diploma courses from American Hotel and Lodging Association, Post Graduate Diploma in Management with specialization in Operations Management from All India Management Association, New Delhi and a note worthy Master certificate in Hospitality management via online module from Cornell, New York.

My diary is all about globally inspired cooking and focused travel.The mission of this blog is to encourage cooking international cuisines from the comfort of home kitchens and also learn about places thousands of miles away.
